At Regency Park there is plenty on offer for residents of the male gender. One of the most recent additions is the residents' workshop.

This new facility is the perfect space for residents to bring their tools along and build whatever your heart desires.

GETTING FIT: (in the pool) Dawn Mclenan, Judith Cutmore, (outside the pool) Heather Gould & Maree Spencer love the water activities at Regency Park

FOR these ladies, their spare time is filled with doing things they love. Whether it is sewing, painting or even gardening. Regency Park resident’s Maree Spencer and Heather Gould moved to Warwick from Cleveland three months ago.

The ladies love the lifestyle in Warwick and their tree change has been a dream come true. With many activities on offer at Regency Park, one that has stood out for the ladies is the in-pool activities. Miss Gould is extremely keen on aqua fitness held in the Magna pool each week.

What’s unique about the Magna pool is that provides a therapeutic water environment that can assist the body when swimming and bathing. It also helps you to relax and rejuvenate. It provides the perfect location to conduct water aerobics, rehabilitation and exercise therapy. MagnaPool’s mineral water can assist in relieving aches and pains, reducing stress and promoting muscle energy.

The mineral based water is also very gentle on eyes and sensitive skin and can soothe eczema, dermatitis and other problem skin conditions. Miss Gould said she really enjoys the twice a week sessions.“Our instructor Jan Grayson is fantastic,” she said. “It’s a terrific class with lots of music and a lot of laughter. “It’s a whole body workout and all of us really enjoy it. “I first joined the class because I wanted to become fitter,” she said. “My goals were achieved because it’s such a great cardio workout.

DONATION: George Durieux gives a cheque for $1500 from Regency Park to CareFlight’s Suzie Washington

THE operation of RACQ CareFlight is expensive business. Spokeswoman Suzie Washington jokes it combines two expensive services – flying and medical – with each take-off costing $12,500.

“It’s fuel, as well as a doctor, paramedic, pilot and crewmen needed for each flight,” she said. This week, the charity received money for one of their next missions, after Regency Park handed over a donation for $1500. The money had been raised from raffles, sausage sizzles and sale of their home-grown produce.
